Of 348, Ravenswood Terrace, Park Road, Westhoughton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915.

Bottomley, Edward –

Son of Isaac and Mary Westhoughton Bottomley; husband of Elizabeth A. Bottomley, of 45, Brancker Street, Chequerbent, Westhoughton, Lancashire. Called up at outbreak of war with the St. John Ambulance Brigade, and after serving seven months was discharged in February 1915. Enlisted in the Devonshire Regiment in May 1915.

Cooper, John –

Son of John and Caroline Cooper, of 62, Rochdale Road, Milnrow, Rochdale, Lancashire.

Costello, Maurice Henry –

Son of William James and Rate Costello; husband of Elizabeth Costello, of 10, Crookham Road, Fulham, London. Born at Manchester, Lancashire.

Davies, Albert Edward –

Son of John Davies, of 10, Canada Street, Horwich, Lancashire, and the late Martha Crabtree Davies. Enlisted April 1915.

Doxey, Walter –

Son of James and Jane Doxey, of 723, Manchester Road, Chequerbent, Westhoughton, Lancashire; husband of Annie Wood (formerly Doxey), of 3, Lorensen Avenue, Merlynston, North Coburn, Victoria, Australia.

Dunne, John –

Husband of Annie Dunne, of 2a, Ward’s Court, Folds Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 5055, East Lancashire Regiment, a reservist with 22 years service. Invalided home with pneumonia and later died at Gateshead whilst working on munitions.

Edgington, Ernest –

Son of Mr. A. Edgington, of 132, Campbell Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly East Lancashire Regiment.

Farrimond, William –

Son of Edward and Elizabeth Farrimond, of 26, Hindley Road, Daisy Hill, Westhoughton, Lancashire.

Greenwood, Thomas (Tom) –

Son of John Robert and Marion Greenwood, of 12, Algernon Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1917.

Hampson, Thomas (Tom) –

Son of William and Jane Hampson, of 44, Chorley Road, Blackrod, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Blackrod Cooperative Society. Enlisted November 1915. Reported missing since 24/04/1917 and subsequently presumed killed.
