Allan, John Stewart (Jack) –

Son of Thomas S. and Mary A. Allan, of 35, Moorfield Grove, Tonge Moore, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted as Private 20333 at Rhyl, Flintshire 05/02/1915 in the 15th Bn., Welsh Regiment, and discharged 25/05/1915 as not likely to make an efficient soldier. Subsequently re-enlisted in the East Lancashire Regiment. Posted missing since 07/07/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. An elder brother served in France and a younger brother in Mesopotamia.
