Blackwell, Jack –

Resided with a sister at Princess Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Wounded by a bullet in the foot August 1916.

Eldest son of Edwin and Elizabeth Bolton, of 100, Belmont Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute (1911-1913). Formerly employed as a clerk by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. Formerly 63041, Manchester Regiment. Died from influenza.

Son of Elizabeth Cummins (formerly Booth) and Joseph Cummins (stepfather), of 25, Lower Seedley Road, Salford, Lancashire. Born at Lower Broughton, Salford, Lancashire.

Bostock, James –

Of 26, Falcon Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 4593, 4th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Caught aged 27 as an absentee from Barrow since 19/02/1915 and appeared before Bolton Magistrates 23/02/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/25). Admitted to 11th General Hospital on 24/10/1916 severely wounded.

Previous service with East Lancashire Regiment – time expired. Formerly 7th Bn., East Lancashire Regiment, and attached service as Sergeant 45051, Labour Corps.
