Armstrong, Frank Horace –

Son of John and Annie Elizabeth Armstrong (nee Harker), of Gainsborough House, 197, Derby Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 30, Eustace Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1915. Formerly Private S4/064604, Army Service Corps.

Ashworth, John Stanley –

Son of Peter and Maria Ashworth, of 89, School Hill, Bolton, Lancashire, formerly of 28, Halifax Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded July 1916 at High Wood and November 1916 at Beaumont Hamel. Killed by sniper on the Menin Road.

Aspinall, James –

Son of Mrs. Aspinall, of 7, Olive Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Aspinall, of 15, Unsworth Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 452, Bridgeman Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Reported missing since 30/11/1917 and died from wounds in German hands whilst prisoner.

Son of George and Mary Badrock (nee Smith), of Horwich, Lancashire. Of 16, Whitecroft Road, Heaton, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Formerly Colour Sergeant 7114, Rifle Brigade.

Baldwin, Robert –

Son of Elizabeth Jane Baldwin, of 130, Bolton Road, Edgworth, Turton, Lancashire. Formerly of 1, Mount Pleasant, Edgworth, Turton, Lancashire. Brother of William Baldwin, of 12, Myrrh Street, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing since 30/07/1915 at Hooge and subsequently presumed killed.

Barlow, Eric –

Second son of the late Mr. W. F. Barlow and Mrs. Barlow, of 5, Russell Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Lizzie (Madge) Barlow (nee Hardman). An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1901-1908). Previously employed in the hydrographic department at the Admiralty. Formerly Trooper, Duke of Lancaster’s Own Yeomanry. Commissioned December 1915. Wounded by gunshot in the knee August 1916. His elder brother Fred serving with the Royal Army Service Corps.
