Fourth son of John Addison, churchwarden of Kearsley (St. Stephen) Church, and Mary Addison, of 330, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Resided at Handsworth, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Formerly 28624, 2nd Bn., Rifle Brigade. Kearsley (St. Stephen) C.E. Church Roll of Honour.

Son of Reuben and Emma Allen; husband of Nellie Allen, of 3, Alice Street, Pendleton, Lancashire.

Armitt, John –

Husband of Martha Armitt, of 17, School Street, Eccles New Road, Salford, Lancashire.

Only son of James and Elizabeth Ashall, of 9, Wigan Road, Atherton, Lancashire.

Ashcroft (Hamer), Andrew –

Husband of Annie Ashcroft (nee Freeman), of 40, Maze Street, Darcy Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Mobilised from the reserve 05/08/1914 and posted to 1st Bn. King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. NOTE:- Enlisted under the name of Andrew HAMER, but later changed to his correct name during service.

Ball, Albert –

Barnett, Harry –

Of 14, Pennington Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Fireman at Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Lancashire. His brother served in the Royal Naval Air Service.

Beddows, Gilbert –

Son of James and Mary Beddows, of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Florence Beddows, of 92, Waterloo Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Died in hospital in France from pneumonia. A brother also served in France.

Bennett, James Carlton –
