Son of John William Beardsworth and Clara Beardsworth (nee Greenwood), of 35, Darley Street, Brownlow Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. Severely wounded in the right arm by shrapnel in March 1918.

Son of James and E. Cooper, of 62, Essingdon Street, Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Formerly in the service of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company, at Bolton, Lancashire.

Covell, Albert –

Of 102, Beverley Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Invalided home with enteric fever from Egypt in January 1916.

Son of Mr. W. A. and Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Dewhurst, of 19, Dale Street, Horwich, Lancashire. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.

Duckworth, Ernest Edwin –

Son of Edwin and Mary Jane Duckworth, of 73, Hawarden Street, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Promoted for conspicuous work during the Gallipoli landing.

Fowweather, Walter –

Son of Walter Turner and Mary Jane Fowweather, of 233, Ainsworth Lane, Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire.

Greenhalgh, Richard –

Youngest son of Band-Sergeant Robert Edward Greenhalgh, who served 26 years in the old Bolton Volunteers, the 9th Lancashire Volunteer Artillery, and Elizabeth Greenhalgh, of 15, Range Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 35, Ribblesdale Road, Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the Great Lever Division of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Died in the Malta Hospital.

Greenwood, Harry Fishwick –

Son of Mr. Walter Greenwood, of Brierwood, 68, Albert Road West, Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Formerly Corporal. Admitted to the Naval Hospital at Plymouth with severe rheumatism September 1915.

Hatton, James –

Stepson of Joseph Drinkwater and son of Elizabeth Drinkwater (formerly Hatton), of 224, New Street, Blackrod, Lancashire, and the late James Hatton. Enlisted December 1914. Wounded in the leg November 1916.

Hollinshead, Charles –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hollinshead, of 339, Moorside Road, Swinton, Lancashire. Died in a French hospital at Abbeville of serious wounds to the right thigh received 27/12/1917, resulting in amputation of the limb on 08/01/1918.

Jay, Percy –

Son of George and Rachel Jay, of 53, Rawson Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Wounded and suffered shellshock in November 1916, and later invalided home with dysentery. Wounded in the neck 1918.
