Of 34, Clammerclough Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

Bagshaw, George –

Son of the late John and Eliza Bagshaw, of Carlton, Nottinghamshire; husband of Florence Bagshaw (nee Gilbert), of 23, Blantyre Avenue, Walkden, Lancashire. A Telegraphist for the Post Office at Glasgow. Captured prisoner of war. Died at the Reserve Hospital in Verdun from exposure.

Of 2, Prescott Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915, 17th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Re-enlisted April 1915.

Bates, John –

Son of John and Martha Alice Bates (nee Greenhalgh); husband of Rose Bates (nee Fox), of 32, Mill Street, Belper, Derbyshire. Home Service Only. Medical report recommended discharge as no longer fit for war service September 1915. Coroners inquest returned a verdict of died of heart disease December 1915.

Son of Rev. Samuel Bond, former Principal of the Bolton Church Institute (1888-1896), and of Emily Kate Bond, of Woodborough Vicarage, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire; husband of Eleanor Bond (nee Jarvis), of Lowdham, Nottinghamshire. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute. Commissioned March 1916.

Husband of Letitia Bradshaw, of 492, Oldham Road, Newton Heath, Manchester, Lancashire.

Brady, Thomas –

Brother of Hugh Brady, of 54, Spring Gardens, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously enlisted about a fortnight earlier in the South Lancashire Regiment.

Casstles, Sydney Arthur –

Son of Joseph Briggs and Caroline Jane Casstles, of 160, Markland Hill Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 60975, Manchester Regiment. Reported severely wounded and missing since 27/05/1918. Prisoner of war at Limburg. Later became a dentist.
