Goodman, George Henry Underwood –

Son of Ellen Goodman, of 33, Osborne Grove, Bolton, Lancashire. Was only 15 years old when he enlisted, although he claimed to be 19 years of age.

Green, Ernest –

Of 20, Alliance Street, Harpurhey, Lancashire. Caught as an absentee from Sunderland since 12/07/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates since 12/07/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Greenhalgh, Thomas –

Son of Mrs. Pinder (formerly Greenhalgh), and stepson of Private W. H. Pinder, of 10, Ernest Street, Bolton, Lancashire.

Hampson, Edward –

Of 7, Broughton Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

Harden, Thomas –

Husband of Eliza Alice Harden, of 11, Craddock Street, Mill Hill, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915. Died at No.8 General Hospital from severe wounds received 8 days previously.

Haslam, Thomas –

Son of Harry and Mary Jane Haslam, of 57, Oak Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Formerly 15th Bn., Sherwood Foresters. Surname recorded as HASLEM on SDGW.

Hayes (Slater), John (James) –

NOTE:- Served as James SLATER. Son of William and Charlotte Hayes, of 88, John Taylor Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 17864, East Yorkshire Regiment.

Healey, Joseph –

Of 5, Albion Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Caught aged 20 as an absentee from Tidworth since 14/11/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).
