Son of the late Peter Farrall, ex-headmaster of Irlam Endowed School. Husband of Annie Farrall, of 232 Barton Lane, Eccles, Lancashire. Had previously worked as a clerk. Died at home (found dead in bed at Bruntfield Schools, Edinburgh, Midlothian).

Monaghan, Henry – Lance Corporal

Son of Mary Jane Hancock (formerly Monaghan), of 7, Cumberland Street, Lower Broughton, Salford, Lancashire, and the late Michael James Monaghan. Posted to Manchester Regiment.

Rowland, Samuel – Private

Of 19, Lindley Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Died of pneumonia in hospital at Clipstone Camp, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.

Shaw, Joseph – Private

Son of William Shaw, of 134, Oxford Grove, Bolton, Lancashire. Discharged 17 July 1917 as no longer physically fit for war service due to Valvular Disease of the Heart.
