Son of the late Thomas Kershaw, of Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Clara Kershaw, of 149, St. Anne’s Road East, St. Anne’s-on-Sea, Lancashire. His brother was, Fred Kershaw, J.P., of Starrcliff House, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. In France from February 1917 until his death. Died from injuries when the stationary lorry on which he was standing working on the erection of Church Army Huts was collided with by another lorry, causing it to roll down an embankment. His British War Medal is recorded as being returned and scrapped.
