Ainsworth, Albert –

Son of John William and Annie Ainsworth, of 186, Deane Church Lane, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Ada Ainsworth (nee Cottam), of 1, Wardlow Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previous service in the King’s Liverpool Regiment. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company as a Guard. Formerly Driver T/4/093226, 661st Company, Army Service Corps. Served in Salonika and suffered from malaria.

Allen, Frank Bertram –

Husband of Lucy Ellen Allen, of 306, Bolton Road, Walkden, Lancashire, and formerly of Worsley Road, Little Hulton, Lancashire. An old boy of Farnworth Grammar School. Formerly employed as a clerk to the Farnworth and Kearsley Gas Company. Mistakenly reported (rumoured) to have been killed in July 1917.

Allen, James –

Son of Georgiana Taylor (formerly Allan, nee Grundy), of 45, Darley Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Was at Dalgelley, Ireland at the time of the Irish rebellion. Wounded by gunshot in the back and hip July 1917.

Son of John Almond, J.P., and of Mary Almond, of Park View, Bolton Road, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Almond, of Park Road, Prestwich, Lancashire. An old boy of Farnworth Grammar School. Enlisted April 1917. Reported as Corporal in F&WJ. Memorial in Farnworth Cemetery.
