An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Originally reported as missing, subsequently confirmed killed. Brother Robert served in the Royal Army Medical Corps. Also recorded as Harry.

Son of John Edward and Mary Ellen Lomax (nee Simeon), of 22, Almond Street, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 12407, Reserve Regiment of Cavalry; formerly 36917, 8th Bn., Suffolk Regiment. Captured prisoner of war at Roisel, around April-May 1918.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Longton, of 11, Bradford Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. “Whilst playing football with the Royal Engineers in a match against the Black Watch, he was accidentally kicked in the back and died, as a result of the injury, on August 14th.” (BJ&G)

Son of William Lonsdale and the late Hannah Lonsdale (nee Baldwin), of Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire; brother of Margaret Ann (Maggie) Mayoh, of 158, Lorne Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Also had a brother named Robert who received his effects from the Army. Wrongly reported as T Lonsdale in local newspapers.
