Son of James and Ellen Mason, of 38, Markland Hill Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1915. Died from pneumonia at the Southern Hospital, Amballa, India.

Son of William Henry and Alice Mather (nee McDona), of 62, Sloane Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 24, Woodbine Road, Morris Green Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing since 09/08/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Mather, James Edmund –

Son of John Mather and brother of Elizabeth Mather, of 161, Mornington Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and later of 232 Oxford Grove, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 3643, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Repatriated prisoner of war. Died 22/01/1923 and interred in Bolton (Heaton) Cemetery, on 24/01/1923.

Son of Alfred and Emma Mather, of 77, Randal Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915. Formerly 7457, 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Second of two sons killed within a month, a third served with the Royal Army Medical Corps in France.
