Son of John and Sarah Ann Moscrop, of Belmont, Bolton, Lancashire. Recorded as John Moscroft on SDGW.

Moscrop, Samuel –

Of 288, Lever Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 16, Gregson Field, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 1744, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported missing 09/08/1916. His brother Abraham also fell.

Moses, George –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses, of 57, Matthew Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company’s locomotive shed at Burnden. Enlisted May 1915.

Moss, James –

Son of the late Benjamin and Mary Moss; husband of Alice Moss (nee Dewhurst).

Moss, Alfred –

Son of Jean Ellerbeck Moss and Catherine Hunter Moss, of 75, Latham Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Germaine Marie Moss, of 22, Rue du President Wilson, Sanvie, France. Served in Crete, Malta and India prior to service in the Great War.

Moss, John G –

Husband of Elizabeth E. Moss (nee Worsley), of 23, Smith Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously served with the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment for 17 years, and although discharged on medical grounds, secured re-enlistment April 1915 in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.

Moss, Benjamin Josiah –

Son of the late Benjamin and Mary Moss. Of 25, Shipton Street, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Formerly 37511, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.

Motler, Arthur –

Husband of Mrs. Motler, of Leicester Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Formerly 4663, Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed by a machine gun bullet to the head. BJ&G records a service number of 20383. Two brothers also served.

Moulden, Joseph –

One of five sons of Mrs. Moulden, of 2, Tyndall Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Alice Moulden, of 37, Hough Lane, Bromley Cross, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1915, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. On the roll of honour of St. Joseph’s Church, Halliwell.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Muffitt, of “Fairmount”, 614, Tonge Moor Road, Bolton, Lancashire.

Muldoon, James –

Husband of the late Amelia Muldoon (nee Horrocks), of 23, Gilbert Street, Bolton, Lancashire.

Mullaly, Thomas M –

Son of Thomas and Mary Ellen Mullaly, of 65, Matthew Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 79, Sydney Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Twice wounded. Surname also sometimes recorded as MULLABY or MULLAHY.

Mullaney, Edward –

Son of Dorothy Mullaney, of 9, Antelope Court, Churchgate, Bolton, Lancashire, and later of 34, Cross Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late James Mullaney. Had served ten years in the Militia before enlisting for War Service in August 1914. Reported missing in Gallipoli since 09/08/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Mullineaux, John –

Son of Mrs. Hannah Baker, of 3, Rutter Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 40, Keswick Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Served in both France and Salonika. Killed by a shell.

Mullineux, Robert –

Husband of Jane E. Long (formerly Mullineux), of 54, Lum Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of 3, Greenhalgh Court, Folds Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

Son of Thomas and Sarah Mulvanley, of 89, Rothwell Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Service number recorded as 710770 on CWGC.

Muncaster, Joseph –

Son of William and Agnes Muncaster, of 8, Fortune Street, Burnden, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported Missing 21/03/1918.
