Of 17, King Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 20 as an Absentee from 6th Bn., Royal Fusiliers at Dover since 27/03/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 01/04/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).

Norris, Benjamin –

Son of William and Eliza Ann Norris, of 11, Packer Street, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded June 1916 in the hand. Killed after leaving the trenches wounded on a stretcher, when a shell burst and killed him and the stretcher bearers conveying him to the dressing station.
