Son of Alice Ray, of 181, Arnold Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late George Ray, and formerly of 6, Thorpe Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1914. Reported wounded and missing since 08/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Ray, William –

Son of William and Elizabeth Ann Ray, of 26, Nottingham Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Ethel Ray (nee Hamer), of 186 Waterloo Street, Bolton. Formerly 16450, 8th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Also served in Machine Gun Corps (Heavy Branch). Died aged 28 years 25/09/1921 and interred at Bolton (Heaton) Cemetery, 29/09/1921.

Rearden, Daniel –

Son of John and Margaret Ellen Rearden (nee Malley), of 20, Hector Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1914. Formerly Private 3099, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Posted missing since 30/11/1917, and subsequently presumed killed. Served as O’REARDON, but medal card also records B420 and C745 service numbers and surname as REARDEN.

Son of John and Margaret Reddington (nee Brandwood), of 19, John Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Father and brother also served.

Reddy, Matthew –

Son of Winifred D. Reddy, of 8, Slater Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late John Reddy. Served eight years and five months in the Army, six years in India. Death date given as 14/05/1915 in BJ&G.

Reddyhough, Alfred –

Son of James Henry and Mary Ellen Reddyhough, of 9, Glade Street, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Formerly employed at the Bolton Corporation’s Spa Road Electricity works. Machine Gunner, recommended for commision in April 1916. Reported as wounded and missing 01/07/1916.

Reekie, Harold –

Son of Mr. David Reekie, headmaster of Oxford Grove Council School, and of Avonmore, 185, Chorley New Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1899-1906). Formerly a Sergeant in the Canadian Gordon Highlanders, but gave up his stripes to get to the Front sooner. Died of wounds (gun shot back, thighs and arms) at No.16 General Hospital, Le Treport.

Husband of Catherine Regan (nee Burke), of 13, Nith Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 9659, Lancashire Fusiliers. Posted missing since 31/07/1917, and subsequently presumed killed. Brother of James Regan, prisoner of war.

Regan, Frank –

Husband of Ellen Regan (nee Hodson), of 25, Rothwell Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company on the ballast train. Accidentally killed.
