Eldest son of the late James Martin Rutter, former Borough Coroner for Bolton, and Mary Rutter. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School. Formerly 3353, 1st/6th Bn., Manchester Regiment. Attached 22nd Bn.. Reported missing in France since 02/09/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Ryan, John –

Only son of Mrs. Ryan, of 22, Newry Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915. Wounded 08/06/1917 and died at the West Didsbury Military Hospital.

Rylands, Edward –

Son of Benjamin Rylands, of 7, Abraham Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Mary Ann Rylands and formerly of 12, Howard Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in August 1915. Died in German hands as prisoner of war. Three brothers also served in France.
