Husband of Mary E. Sharples, of 1211, Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Wife and child resided at 47, Lena Street, Bolton, Lancashire during the War. Enlisted May 1916. Reported missing since 21/10/1916 and subsequently reported killed in action.

Sharples, John William –

Son of John and Hannah Sharples, of 14, Hough Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Ann Jane Sharples (nee Miller), of 24, Tong Street, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 17045 / 42802, 7th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Discharged aged 24. Died of tuberculosis of lungs aged 29 on 30/12/1921
