Brown, Charles –

Son of John and Alice Brown, of 35, Pleasant Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted June 1915. Formerly 21757, 20th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Died of gunshot wounds and gas received in action at No.6 General Hospital, Rouen. Brother Jack served in France.

Brown, Daniel –

Second son of Thomas Brown, of 293, Wigan Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Margaret Brown, formerly of 352, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire. For five years prior to enlisting he had been in Canada. Wounded by gunshot in the neck in July 1916. Killed by a sniper’s bullet whilst dispatch riding.
