Baxendale, William T –

Husband of Mary Baxendale, of 17, Partridge Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously served with the Royal Field Artillery in the South African Campaign. Killed by a sniper while taking the place of a dead gunner at a maxim machine gun.

Son of John William Beardsworth and Clara Beardsworth (nee Greenwood), of 35, Darley Street, Brownlow Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Attached to the Hood Bn.

Beckett, Henry –

Son of George and Eliza Beckett, of Wem, Shropshire; husband of Bertha Horrocks (formerly Beckett), of 98, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 130, Clarence Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Formerly 19103, Border Regiment. Died from pneumonia at the Windy Knowe Military Hospital at Blundellsands.

Son of Daniel and Catherine Beckett; husband of Margaret Beckett (nee Tierney). Formerly employed as a labourer for Messrs. Magee, Marshall and Co. Reported in BJ&G as Lancashire Fusiliers and of 69, Clarendon Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and with a date of death of 07/09/1916.

Son of James and Mary Beddows, of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Florence Beddows, of 92, Waterloo Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Died in hospital in France from pneumonia. A brother also served in France.

Eldest son of John and Margaret Beesley, of 91, Holden Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 64, Rishton Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Killed at the Battle of Jutland. Body not recovered for burial.
