Attached II Corps. Died of shrapnel wounds to the head and neck. On the Roll of Honour of Walmsley Unitarian Church, and memorial in chapel graveyard.

Son of Thomas and Bertha Berry, of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Florence Berry, of 7, Oak Street, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in the right elbow. Wounded in the left thigh and left shoulder. Died in the King George Hospital in London from concussion of the brain due to injuries received whilst carrying ammunition to the trenches at Ypres in October.
