Son of Annie Harden (formerly Walsh), of 24, Villiers Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Thomas Walsh; step-son of Pte. J. Harden, Lancashire Fusiliers, prisoner of war.

Walsh, Joseph –

Son of Thomas and Sarah Walsh, of 52, Handel Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Formerly Private 3205, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded 09/08/1916. Two brothers also served, both being wounded.

Walsh, Alfred –

Son of Michael Walsh; husband of Hannah Walsh (nee Higging), of 12, Back York Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 36, George Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previous service as Private 4216, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment time-expired. Formerly Private 2976, 1st Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, discharged 28/03/1916 due to wounds, having suffered gunshot wound to head. Re-joined as Private 399844, Royal Army Service Corps. Caught aged 43 multiple times as an absentee appearing before Bolton Magistrates to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29). Died of pneumonia in hospital at Woolwich.

Son of Sarah Ann Walsh, of 61, Gilnow Lane, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Thomas F. Walsh. Enlisted August 1914. Reported missing following the Battle of Loos on 25/09/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of William Walton, of 10, Canada Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Annie Walton, of 10, Darley Street, Brownlow Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Lance Corporal 3921, 2nd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Played in a football match in October 1916 against a team from the 2nd/10th Bn., King’s Liverpool Regiment. Reported missing since 09/07/1917 and subsequently presumed killed.

Warbrick, William –

Son of James and Hannah Warbrick, of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of E. Warbrick, of 38, Horsa Street, Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 69, Matthew Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Bolton Post Office. Enlisted May 1915. Died at Port Said, Egypt as the result of being kicked by a horse.
