Waterhouse, Herbert Batty (Bert) –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Waterhouse, of Broom Lea, Lostock Park, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Wounded in the head by a German sniper in January 1916. Sacrificed his life in an effort to rescue a comrade at High Wood.

Weatherall, William –

Husband of Mrs. Weatherall, of 55, Mona Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Killed by a rifle shot whilst attempting to rescue an officer.

Webb, William –

Husband of Catherine Webb, of 112, Cawdor Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1915. Formerly 6600, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Previously employed as a fireman for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. Went down with the transport ship Aragon which was torpedoed 30/12/1917 en-route to Egypt.
