Son of the late James and Mary Ann Alice Wood; husband of Leona G. E. Wood, of 12, Bargates, Whitchurch, Shropshire. Formerly a member of the Liverpool Police Force. Died in hospital at Le Treport, France, from wounds received in action 09/10/1917.

Formerly employed as a tramcar conductor for the Bolton Corporation Tramways. Enlisted September 1914. Died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
