Only son of Joseph and Nanny Worsley, of 515, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of the Bolton Grammar School and the Bolton Church Institute. Enlisted February 1916. Died of wounds to the head in hospital in Boulogne.

Son of Edwin and Margaret Ann Worsley, of 40, Hampden Street, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Previous service in the 9th Lancashire Artillery Volunteers.

Worsley, John William –

Son of Robert and Emma Worsley (nee Ridings), of 256, Lever Street, Bolton, Lancashire; brother of Elizabeth E. Moss (nee Worsley), of 23, Smith Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Returned from Canada to enlist. Reported missing and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of Mrs. Worsley, of 21, Avenue Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Checker at Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted in November 1915 under the “Group System”. Reported to have been buried by the Germans on a farm south of Templeux le Guerard.

Son of the late Arthur John and Edith Rose Wright, of 18, Herschel Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed at Guillemont, Somme, France.

Wright, Walter –

Son of George and Marian Wright, of 25, Buxton Street, Waterloo Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Charlotte Wright. Enlisted April 1915, South Lancashire Regiment. Caught aged 19 as an absentee from Grantham since 11/01/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 15/01/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Son of John and Alice Wright, of 113, Sapling Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Mobilised as a territorial with the Bolton Artillery 04/08/1914. Repatriated from Egypt August 1915 on the hospital ship Asturias suffering from severe dysentery. Died aged 28 years 06/03/1919.
