Caught aged 20 as a deserter from the 21st Bn., Welsh Regiment at Kinmell Park, Rhyl since 09/10/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 16/10/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26). Wounded on 31/07/1917 and died at a clearing station four days later.
