Son of Thomas H. and Margaret E. Hawker, of 61, Culcheth Lane, Newton Heath, Manchester, Lancashire. Formerly of 53, Calvert Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 38500, South Wales Borderers.

Haydock, Richard –

Son of Andrew and Sarah Haydock, of 8, Cannon Street North, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 9, Tower Street, Chapeltown, Lancashire. Formerly Private 7425, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Was on sentry duty when the trenches were attacked by a German raiding party. Although they were beaten off, Haydock was severely wounded and died soon after.

Son of Eli Haydock, of 37, Hough Lane, Eagley, Turton, Lancashire, and later of 245, Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, Turton, Lancashire. Brother James also serving in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Hayes, Harry –

Youngest son of William and Charlotte Hayes, of 88, John Taylor Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 167, Sidney Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing after an engagement on 26/08/1914 and subsequently regarded as killed on that date. Surname recorded as HAYS on SDGW and Medal Records.

Hayes, William –

Son of Mrs. Hayes, of 16, Nevada Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Hayes, of 72, Reservoir Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company as a checkweighman at Trinity Street Station. Enlisted August 1914. Recorded as William HEYES on CWGC, Medal Card and SDGW. Has previously joined the army in 1902 but was bought out by his parents for being too young.

Son of William and Emily Hayhurst, of 24, Howcroft Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 4647, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded accidentally 03/07/1917. Reported missing since 26/10/1917 and subsequently presumed killed. Age at death incorrectly recorded as 31 years on CWGC.

Son of Mrs. Healey, of 10, Markland Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed in the goods yard of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. Gassed twice and wounded once before meeting his death on 17/02/1916.
