Son of Peter and Nancy Heywood, of 20, Breightmet Fold, Breightmet, Bolton, Lancashire. Of 29, Fearnysides, Little Lever, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1916. The third son to fall within 13 months.

Heywood, George Stanley –

Son of James Halvor Heywood and Mary Haywood, of 38, Russell Street, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. En-route home for demobilisation after serving in the intelligence branch of the General Headquarters in Mesopotamia when he died from pneumonia. Younger brother died in France about three years earlier.

Died at Rouen. Service number wrongly recorded as 4993 on SDGW.
