Died from consumption following two operations of the effects of gas. Interred 25/03/1918 in Farnworth Cemetery. Recorded as W N Wilkinson in F&WJ.

Died in No.4 Canadian Field Ambulance in France from a gunshot wound in the abdomen and a shrapnel wound in the right leg caused by a bomb dropped by an enemy aeroplane during the night. Memorial in Farnworth Cemetery.
