Son of Thomas and Mary Wolstencroft, of Clifton, Lancashire. Nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Rushton, of Beechwood House, Baker Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. A shell burst near to his machine gun position killing him and another man.

Son of the late Robert and Sarah Ann Wolstencroft, of 74, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Joined up March 1917.

Wolstencroft, Samuel –

Son of Thomas and Emily Wolstencroft (nee Fletcher), of 30, Oak Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly 11669, 6th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Incorrectly recorded as WOLSONCROFT on CWGC and local newspapers.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Wolstenholme, of 141, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Of 16, Antelope Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Formerly 19298, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Wood, Harry –

Only son of Frederick William and Ellen Jane Wood, of 106, Campbell Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Wounded in the right arm in August 1916. Memorial in Great Lever (St. Michael) Churchyard.

Woodall, William Henry –

Son of William and Elizabeth Woodall (nee Waddicar), of Canada Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mary Elizabeth Woodall (nee Hardman), of 4, Tonge Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Originally reported missing, later presumed killed. Reported as WOODHALL in F&WJ.

Son of Tom and Susannah Worsley, of 255, Manchester Road West, Little Hulton, Bolton. Of 36, Higher Street, New Bury, Farnworth, Lancashire. Died of dysentery in Mesopotamia. His brother John also served.

Worsley, Elijah –

Son of Tom and Susannah Worsley, of 255, Manchester Road West, Little Hulton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Worsley, of 36, Higher Street, New Bury, Farnworth, Lancashire. Died at Fazakerley Hospital, Liverpool, from wounds received in Dardanelles. His brother John also served.

Resided with his grandfather, Mr. Stewart, at 32, Penn Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Employed at Horwich Loco Works in the gas-producing department. Previous territorial service with 4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Posted missing and subsequently presumed killed.
