Son of the late John and Rhoda Bryce; husband of Hannah Bryce, of 11, Alice Street, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Bolton Corporation in the Waterworks Department. Enlisted December 1914. Reported missing since 24/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of James Laidlaw, of 26, Gordon Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Jane Laidlaw; husband of Alice Nuttall (formerly Laidlaw, nee Wilcockson), of 30, Blackshaw Lane, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 13, Vincent Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly in the employ of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company in the goods department. Formerly Private 7039, 4th/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Of 48, Gilnow Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Family at 135, Gibbon Street, and 177, Willows Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Killed when a shell exploded in his trench. His brother Dick in France.

Youngest son of Rev. John Edward and Elizabeth Swallow, minister of the United Methodist Hanover Circuit, Bolton, Lancashire, later of 33, Blenheim Gardens, Wallington, Surrey. Formerly 3538, 5th Bn., Queen’s Royal West Surrey Regiment.

Wilkinson, John (Jack) –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson, of 37, Third Avenue, Ferns Park, Bolton, Lancashire. Had his left leg shattered and subsequently amputated at No.2. Clearing Station. His brother George also served.
