Son of Jonathan and Hannah Maria Morris, of 11, Travers Street, Horwich, Lancashire; husband of the late Emily Morris (nee Wright), of 1, Short Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Reported missing after an engagement on 23/05/1915 at Gallipoli.

Myers, Norman –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Myers, of 7, Dale Street, Horwich, Lancashire. An old boy of Rivington and Blackrod Grammar School. Formerly employed at the Horwich Loco Works.

Nelson, Richard –

Son of Mr. Nelson, of 201, Lee Lane, Horwich, Lancashire. An old boy of Rivington and Blackrod Grammar School. Formerly 4697, Monmouthshire Regiment.

Nolan, Robert –

Son of Edward and Elizabeth Ann Nolan, of 32, Autumn Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Sustained severe injuries in the head, left arm and abdomen on 21/04/1918 and admitted to the St. John Hospital, Cheltenham. Died of these wounds.

Norcross, Robert –

Son of Odadiah and Ann Norcross (nee Moulding), of 21, Mercia Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Horwich Loco Works. Reported missing since 09/08/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Nuttall, Albert Edmund –

Only son of William M. and Florence L. Nuttall, of 34, Tovell’s Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, and formerly of Crown Lane, Horwich, Lancashire. Lost in the Royal Edward troopship disaster.

Ouldcott, Ernest –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ouldcott, of 252, Back Chorley New Road, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Horwich Loco Works. Previously Private / Sergeant 251/1281, 4th Bn. Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, the Horwich Territorials. Wounded 14/09/1915. Reported missing since 08/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. Father served in the King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, and was discharged with wounds.

Oxley, Clifford –

Son of Frederick William Oxley, of 116, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Lancashire, and the late Frances Oxley. Formerly employed at the Horwich Loco Works and latterly as a marine engineer on their Goole to Dunkirk and Zeebrugge services. Previously served four years as a signaller with the Horwich Territorials (4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire REgiment). Killed by a shell while fixing barbed wire defences.

Son of Mrs. Esther Heath, of 14, Smeaton Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed in the signal department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company’s Horwich Loco Works. Formerly 1644, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Of 14, Heaton Road, Lostock Junction, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed at Aveluy Wood.
