Kershaw, James –

Son of the late Thomas Kershaw of Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Emma Clara Kershaw (nee Booth), of 149, St. Annes Road East, St. Annes on Sea, Lancashire. His brother, Fred Kershaw, J.P., resided at Starrcliff House, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. In France from February 1917 until his death. Died from injuries when the stationary lorry on which he was standing working on the erection Church Army Huts was collided with by another lorry, causing it to roll down an embankment. Medal recorded as being returned and scrapped.
