Of 11, Stopes Road, Little Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted June 1915. Formerly Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Attached 250th Tunnelling Company, Royal Engineers.

Only son of Mrs. Betsy Kirkman, of 38, Heywood Street, Little Lever, Lancashire, and formerly of 1, Lord Street, Little Lever, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1915. Posted missing since 10/10/1917 and subsequently confirmed killed by a sniper’s bullet.
