Son of William and Sarah Jane Gornall, of “Brookfield”, Heaton, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1905-1910). Formerly Sapper, Royal Engineers. Listed as missing since 27/03/1918 and subsequently presumed killed.
