Son of Reverend William Henry and Rose Eliza Claxton, of 46, Hampton Road, Forest Gate, London. Father was former pastor of the New Jerusalem Church, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. An old boy of the Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Formerly 13/51681, Training Reserve. Died at Bangour Military Hospital, Edinburgh, of pneumonia following being shot in the lung on 21/08/1918.

An old boy of the Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Husband of Clara Claxton, of Rosslyn House, Colby, Isle of Man. Died in hospital in Bonn, Germany after six days’ illness.

Cooper, William Randolph (Roy) –

Only son of Ernest Nightingale and Martha Annie Cooper (nee Briercliffe), of The Counting House, Nether Shatton, Bamford, Derbyshire, and formerly of 20, Byron Road, Sheffield, Yorkshire. Associated with Sun Mills at Moses Gate, Farnworth. Joined the Manchester University Officer Training Corps in January 1916 and commissioned 25/10/1916. Severely wounded at Hebuterne early 1917. Killed at Givenchy, near La Bassee.

Son of Rev. Arthur James Curtis, pastor of the Kearsley New Jerusalem Church, and Mary J. Curtis. Of 683, Manchester Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Corporal 624, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Commissioned 31/07/1917.

Dawson, Wilfred –

Of 6, Whitby Street, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Relatives lived at 7, Jackson’s Buildings, Kearsley, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Died in the 44th Casualty Clearing Station from wounds.

Forshaw, Harry –

Son of Mary Jane Forshaw, of 123, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire, and the late Henry Forshaw. Enlisted August 1916. Wounded in the leg January 1917. Memorial in Ringley Churchyard.

Youngest son of Evelina Gee, of Highfield House, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire, and the late Arthur Cooke Gee. An old boy of Farnworth Grammar School. Memorial in New Jerusalem Churchyard.
