Husband of Alice Rogers (nee Jones), of 38, Hill Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Police Constable 37 of the Bolton County Borough Police since 26/01/1911 until mobilised for Army Service on 08/08/1914. (Bolton Archives: ABJ/22/182). Formerly 4785, Scots Guards; formerly Gunner 37170, Royal Field Artillery. Returned to the police force 06/12/1917. Surname alternatively recorded as RODGERS.

Son of Mrs A. Settle, of 48, Hopkins Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 3262, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Son of Mrs. Sharples, of 6, Hengist Street, Tonge Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Formerly 4118, Northumberland Fusiliers; formerly 265894, 1st/6th Bn., Northumberland Fusiliers.

Son of Thomas and Margaret Shepherd, of 126, Bury Old Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Mobilised in August 1914.

Smith, Henry Edward –

Eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Smith, of 116, Dorset Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mary Adelaide Smith (nee Knowles). An old boy of the Ridgways Endowed School. Formerly on the staff of Messrs. Tillotson and Sons, Ltd. Enlisted January 1915 into the King’s Royal Rifle Corps as Rifleman 9490. Wounded January 1916 at Ypres. Commissioned August 1917. Reported missing since 18/04/1918 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war in Germany.

Southworth, David –

Son of Mrs. Southworth, of 128, Oakenbottom Road, Breightmet, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in the shoulder August 1916. A brother also served.

Stanley, Harry P –
