Savage, Frank –

Son of James P. and Annie Savage, 170, Crown Lane, Horwich, Lancashire. An old boy of Rivington and Blackrod Grammar School. Enlisted September 1915 as Private in the London Regiment. Musketry and bomb instructor. Commissoned 25/10/1916.

Scholfield, Richard Denham –

Son of Emma Denham Scholfield, of “Ingarsley”, Warwick Road, Hale, Cheshire, and the late Frank Scholfield. An old boy of Rivington and Blackrod Grammar School. Worked for Salford Corporation Town Clerics Department.

Tatlow, Harry –

Son of the late James Teare Tatlow and Martha Tatlow (nee Hughes), of Ravenstone, 9, Lightburn Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. Listed as Barry Tatlow on Rivington and Blackrod Grammar School WWI Roll of Honour, and also an old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1906-1908). Formerly employed at Hunt’s Bank, Manchester, as a clerk in the traffic department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. Enlisted September 1914.

Walker, Denham –

Son of Walter Egerton Walker and Mary E. Walker, of Stoneleigh, Higher Crumpsall, Manchester. An old boy of Rivington and Blackrod Grammar School. B.A. (Cantab.). Surveyors Institution and Land Agents Society. Enlisted August 1914 as a Private in the Honourable Artillery Company. Attached 18th Bn., Machine Gun Corps.
