Son of William and Martha Haslam, of 25, St. Bartholomew Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Commonly nicknamed ‘Lash’ locally.

Isherwood, Marshall –

Son of Marshall Thomas Isherwood and Mary Isherwood, of 18, Preston Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of 5, McKean Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 3142, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported missing 09/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Longton, Horace –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Longton, of 11, Bradford Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. “Whilst playing football with the Royal Engineers in a match against the Black Watch, he was accidentally kicked in the back and died, as a result of the injury, on August 14th.” (BJ&G)
