Clough, Joseph –

Son of John and Eliza Ellen Clough; husband of Florence Mary Ashcroft (formerly Clough nee Leach), of 82, Rigby Street, Bolton, Lancashire, formerly of 24, Plover Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Attached to the Cheshire Regiment. Died from heart failure as a result of Influenza and Broncho-pneumonia at Herne Bay Military Hospital.

Cunliffe, William Barker –

Son of William and Susannah Barker; husband of Sarah Ann Cunliffe (nee Gibson), of 41, Orlando Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915. Wounded on the same day his brother Stanley was killed. Reported missing.

Reported missing since 24/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. Reported to have been shot in the neck whilst captured prisoner of war, presumably whilst attempting escape.
