NOTE:- Served as Tom ALLCOCK. Husband of Annie Allcock (nee Blackburn), of 34, Robert Street, Patricroft, Lancashire. Served on the Western front 1915-16; 1917-18 Eastern front.

Andrew, Frank Douglas –

Died of wounds in German hands. Stained glass window in Christ Church, Pendleton, dedicated to his memory. “To the Greater Glory of God and in Loving memory of Frank Douglas Andrew, Lient 5th Bn. Manchester Regiment: who was wounded at Cambrai March 24th 1918 and died at Bohain Easter Day 1918 ‘Through the Gate of Death to a Joyful Resurrection’.”

Bethel, Aaron Albert –

Son of James and Sarah Ellen Bethel, of 1, Somerville Street, Eccles, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Severely wounded 15/09/1916 and succumbed to his wounds ten days later. Recorded as Aaron Albert Bethel on Eccles Church memorial, but only as Albert on military service records.
