Edge, Frank –

Son of Mr. J. H. and Mrs. Margaret Edge, of 481, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed when a German aeroplane dropped bombs on a clearing hospital.

Edge, John Latham –

Son of John Henry and Margaret Edge, of 481, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 3626, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded in the left foot November 1916 and hospitalised at Leeds. Youngest of three soldier brothers. His brother Frank also fell.

Gresty, Oliver Edward –

Husband of Margaret A. Gresty, of 511, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of St. Paul’s Place, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly a Caretaker of St. Paul’s Church, Halliwell. Enlisted July 1917. Served as a sniper. Killed by a shell. Reported as S. E. Gresty in BJ&G.

Son of Wright and Alice Roper, of 45, Harvey Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly a carter for the Co-Operative Society’s coal department.
