Stepson of Private Joseph Billington (Lancashire Fusiliers), of 23, Birkdale Grove, Swinton, Lancashire. Killed in the sinking of the troopship Royal Edward.

Roberts, Samuel –

Of 130, Manchester Road, Swinton, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1914. Formerly Private 12437, Manchester Regiment. Killed instantaneously whilst sitting in his dug-out which was hit by a shell. Elder brother Tom served in France with the Coldstream Guards.
