Hollinshead, Charles –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hollinshead, of 339, Moorside Road, Swinton, Lancashire. Died in a French hospital at Abbeville of serious wounds to the right thigh received 27/12/1917, resulting in amputation of the limb on 08/01/1918.

Hope, Percy Beckett –

Son of Mrs. Hope, of Park Lea, Bowden Road, Swinton, Lancashire; husband of G. M. Hope, of Bridgewater Hotel, Ellesmere, Shropshire. Commissioned 1915 into the Yorkshire Regiment. Summumbed at Le Touquet Hospital, France, to wounds received 10/12/1917.

Son of James and Ann Elizabeth Hudson, of Martindale, Swinton, Lancashire. Formerly 5584, 16th Bn., London Regiment.

Hughes, James –

Son of Mrs. J. Hughes, of 13, Wardley Lane, Swinton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Bridgewater Collieries. Enlisted March 1915. Died from pneumonia in at a stationary hospital in France. A brother served in the Coldstream Guards.

Hutton, Sydney Frederick –

Only son of Rev. Frederick Robert Chapman Hutton and Maria Louisa Hutton, formerly of 28, Chorley New Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Father served as vicar of St. George’s, Bolton, and St. Paul’s, Astley Bridge. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute. Formerly a curate of St. Peter’s Parish Church, Swinton, Lancashire, from 1913 to 1916.
