Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Fireman at Plodder Lane. Enlisted January 1915. His brother George served in the Royal Field Artillery and his father served as a guard at Knockaloe prisoner of war camp. Died at No.21 Casualty Clearing Station, Somme, France.
