Son of Charles William and Mary Alice Lloyd, of 32, Willow Street, Oswestry, Shropshire, and formerly of 146, Derby Street, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Clarendon Street Council School. Formerly Private 26693, 13th Bn., South Lancashire Regiment. Wounded and blinded 07/08/1918 by the explosion of a German munition dump, which the enemy had mined during their retreat, and which he was endeavouring to capture, and died in hospital in France three days later.
