Marshall, Thomas Collier –

Son of Henry and Phoebe Collier Marshall (nee Berry), of 66, Elliott Street, Walkden, Lancashire. Reported to be the youngest soldier in the army in 1914 at 14 years of age, having already served for 2 years. Played tenor horn in the Regimental band. Home service only. Died aged 25 years in September 1925 at Sheffield Royal Infirmary from tuberculosis. Interred at Walkden (St. Paul) Chuchyard.
