Caught as an absentee as Private 4667 from 2nd/7th Bn., Royal Welsh Fusiliers at Bedford since 21/08/1916 and aged 27 as Private 54119 from 3rd Bn., Royal Welsh Fusiliers at Litherland since 02/06/1917 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 24/08/1916 and 11/06/1917 to be sent back to his unit under escort.
