Son of John E. and Elizabeth Forbes, of 7, Third Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1916.

Gaskell, Alfred –

Son of Mr. F. Gaskell, of 164, Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Lancashire. Posted missing 18/08/1916 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war at Dulmen, Westphalia, Germany.

Grant Duff, Adrian –

Son of the Rt. Hon. Sir Mountstuart E. Grant Duff, P.C., G.C.S.I., and Anna Julia Lady Grant Duff, C.I.E.; husband of Ursula Grant Duff, of 16, Mulberry Walk, Chelsea, London. Designer of the “War Book”. Grandson of Hannah Ainsworth (daughter of Richard Ainsworth of Smithills Hall). Gazetted Second Lieutenant, Black Watch, 23/03/1889. Served in the South African Campaign.

Green, Thomas Wilkinson –

Only son of James Platt and Annie Green, of Eardington House, Mayor Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Gertrude Green, of 9, Church Road, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1917. Wounded 30/06/1918 and died of these wounds in a Base Hospital.

Harrison, Harry –

Husband of Mrs. Harrison, of 12, Rolls Court, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed at the Horwich Locomotive Works. Served in the South African Campaign.

Henry, Peter –

Son of Peter Patrick and Margaret Henry; husband of Gladys Henry, of Farnworth, Lancashire.

Hewitt, Robert –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hewitt, of 85, Manchester Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in the shoulder. Hospitalised aged 19 in September 1918 due to the effects of gas.
