Son of Mrs. Hodgson, of 6, Alfred Street, Egerton, Turton, Lancashire. Enlisted Private 24485, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in May 1916, and also served in the Suffolk Regiment. Posted missing on 23/04/1917. Brother serving in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Of 211, St. Helens Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1915.

Hollinhurst, Herbert –

Of 179, Gleave Street, Leigh, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Caught as an absentee from Barrow since 21/11/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 02/12/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27).
